The ‘Conscious’ Local Tourist ~ “a days holiday on a shoe string!”

Being a tourist for a day in my own neighbourhood of Manly, Sydney, was truly a days holiday on a shoe string!  Amazed at the sights I never realised existed, and yet have lived here for 40 years!

Changing your perspective and being a tourist in your own local area is like changing ‘Ground Hog Day’ living into a healthy sense of ‘Conscious’ living. Seeing things through a different lense forms a new perspective and interaction with life, filled with child-like wonder which can be fun and surprising.

So grab your walking shoes, pack a daypack and camera, water and snacks, and head down (preferably by foot or catch a bus) to your local Tourist Information Centre for the what’s on information, walks and attractions… ready to get lost and be inspired in your own local area.
