“A Walk On Country” ~ Jamanee Gunya Weekend Retreat 2015

Lake Meroo

Walk On Country ~ Jamanee Gunya ~ May 2015

I am really excited to bring you another wonderful opportunity to walk country on this beautiful and rich land we live in.

This time it’s a little closer to home near Ulladulla in Meroo National Park in Budawang Country. This 3 day Aboriginal Cultural Retreat encompasses a sharing and understanding of each other and all living things whilst walking through pristine bushlands, visiting significant aboriginal sights and art gallery, sampling bush foods and visiting the beautiful Meroo Lake.

Those who have come on the Walk On Country retreats to Gulaga shared a very special experience that can only be felt and not explained. They have been inspiring, awakening, connecting, insightful and nuturing. This gave me inspiration to continue organising Walk On Country retreats to learn from our elder first Australians, experience the land’s energy and beauty, and have a yarn and a laugh.

Our respected hosts are Uncle Noel (traditional custodian of Meroo National Park) and his wife Trish (an awesome cook and songstress), whom I had the pleasure of staying with on their beautiful, peaceful, 100-acre property ‘Jamanee Gunya’.

A priviledged experience I would like to share with you.

Gaby :)
